Petur... read more is warm, professional, knowledgable, and fun. He tailored the itinerary to our interests, with different adventures each day highlighting Iceland's magnificent natural beauty. We visited glaciers, lava caves, and waterfalls, watched seals in the harbor, and took numerous hikes (both short and long). As we travelled the country, Petur shared with us his favorite local spots for food and baked goods, his extensive repertoire of Iceland music, and stories and information about Iceland and its people. Icelandic Elements offers a good range of private tours, but the one I was focused on was... read more the fishing tour. I contacted them, and shortly got an answer from Petur, the owner. He took me to one of his secret rivers that he thought would be good for fishing at that time of the year because it was late in the season. Since I am a seasoned fisher man, Petur could fish with me and did not have to teach me how to fish, but he pointed out the best spots and let me take the first casts. We started with the fly rods that he provided but the fish was not biting (probably my lack of experience), so I changed in to my rod with the secret lure and right away the action started!! I caught 6 nice artic char that after noon and it was the first time I ever caught an arctic char. What a fishing trip it was and Icelandic Elements and Petur come highly recommended!
