But he really shown when we approached private water to fish for Char and late season Brown trout. He provided licenses, rods, local flys, waders, soft Icelandic water. We hiked to amazing, gin clear holding water, guided to the unique hungers of local fish and the haul was amazing in numbers and size. What is better than seed bread sandwiches, hot coffee and crisps on the bank of rivers without humans within ten miles. The hiking alone, through lupines and wild lettuces would have been enough. In July there are 18 hours of light so through were no constraints on time.
Petur joined us at local restaurants for the lobster or fish chowders, great hamburgers and amazing pastries. Everyone knows him and respects him.
